I just wanted to check in with everyone, its Saturday at noon. We still do not have any water or power. I was able to go home yesterday and it was devastating, so much damage, half my roof is gone, there is major water damage in my house, its going to be while before we are going to be able to go home & stay home.
I was able to buy a generator this morning at Costco and I am writing this from my van as I continue to wait for gas. Ive been here for about 45 minutes and have not moved much. Its going to be months for power & water to be restored in the city where I live, right now we are safe with mom but still no power.
As always i will keep checking in as I can.
Oh another note. Its spooky season bitches, and i am sad I still haven't seen hocus pocus 2 yet.
Hang in there. As someone who went through the same thing in Harvey I feel your pain. Glad you were able to get back in to see and assess quickly. It was 12 days before we could even access my neighborhood.
