I expect that anyone who bought one once will replace a lost one with another. The insurance companies will be shelling money like it grows on trees.

@joe438 and raising their rates like crazy too.
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti and doing their best to deny any claims

@nedkelly oh yes insurance companies need a letter from a lawyer to pay up. Best $100 my boss ever spent. They changed their tune the next day and offered a fair amount.

Most will take the money and run to a gasoline auto dealer

i would hate to be in the middle of evacuating and lose a charge. thatd suck.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@MayorOfCrushtown I would hate to be on a road trip and have to stop for hours to charge up. I can’t imagine traveling that way for business or leisure much less in an emergency.
BeachGirl47 · 26-30, F
I read that the home charger is about 8 hours to get a full charge. But at rest areas and gas stations have fast chargers that in 25 of 30 mins your fully charged
It’s pretty much a Chinese decision. They control most of the component for EV. Batteries.

@Stereoguy how do you get gas if the pumps run on electricity? Years ago there was a compartment on pumps that had a manual crank for emergencies. Not anymore.
