Lots of almost verticle hand over foot rock climbing here. Love it! Had to take a detour at one point when another hiker told me a very large bear was up ahead.

I'm currently reading a horror novel titled Hex and it takes place in the mountains of this area. Imagining the Black Rock Witch was around every corner added to the fun, as did driving past locations that are mentioned in the book.
