Those deer seem as tame as the deer inside town limits in Anacortes WA and Fort Bragg CA (I hate to admit I fed some of the former, rather than trying to leave them wild ... but at least it was apples, and not Doritos)
@robingoodfellow ah so they're still more wild than they seem just from the photo ... I'm always used to all the deer here in the eastern US automatically bolting once you're within, say, a thousand feet of them ... which is why it was so novel to me, seeing them so tame, in little towns in multiple states, on the west coast
For my own safety I was probably way too close to this buck in Anacortes for instance, considering that rack
