Bucket lists

So who's got things they would reasonably like to accomplish at least once in their lives. Included on mine so far is doing a rim to rim hike of the Grand Canyon. I've been there once and thought it magnificent beyond words. I'm determined to get in good enough shape to do the hike down one side & up the other. My kid, who wants go with me, also mentioned that one can skydive over it. How amazing would that be.

So what have you all got?
Want to travel

Would love to see Grand Canyon. Was sooo close. Like within 30 miles. but my ex refused to go off our intended route.

@Bexsy good thing I didn't stop by. 🤣
CBarson · 51-55
@Bexsy I had a similar experience with Mammoth Cave. Drove past it four times without seeing it because others refused to stop. I actually told them the following year that I wouldn't be going if we didn't stop to see it
@CBarson oh, i want to see that too.
Don't know why people gotta be all...by the book. Not planned ..not going. *sigh* spontaneous adventure is fun
just dive in a shark cage to observe Great Whites

@Jeephikelove I have 6 of those!
I feel like at this point in my life I’m pretty content! However, before I die I would very much like to….

🌸 finish hiking in every state of the US and discover waterfalls…and hike the north rim of the GC since I didn’t get to much last time
🌸 learn to play guitar
🌸 try to surf. I don’t even care if I actually learn how, I just really want to give it a go!
🌸 start the tradition of family dinners in Sundays
🌸 own a lake lot or some sort of vacation home
🌸 #1: Watch my girl grow up and be there for her as she hits and conquers the big and little milestones in her life

"reasonably" . . . probably takes Stonehenge and the Great Pyramid off the list, and Chichen Itza as well (although, why this should be so . . . ? )

which leaves, I suppose, New Orleans, and a return to the Mojave (and if I do I will probably not return!)

I want to travel more
I’ve checked off a good number from my travel and personal bucket list, but I still have some that I really would like to do in the next 2-3 years.

Visiting Morocco and Turkey would be high up in the list.

Backpacking across Asia. I had been to many countries in Asia before, but all with ✈️. I’d like to experience it with just the necessities in a backpack.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@CookieCrumbs i am going to morocco in sept. I will let you know how it is
@akindheart
Are you planning to buy a decorative plate? 😊

At 57, I fought in a full contact black belt tournament. I came in second. I had the trophy engraved “bucket list” as a reminder.

Next, I’m now training to “fight” at a Dog Brothers gathering. That’s live stick fighting. On the path I’m on, it should be accomplishable in another year to year and a half.

Another goal is to bungee jump off of a bridge over water. I’d be psyched to do that on a moments notice if possible.
Move abroad again
Have a good career in econ

That would be fun.

Mine includes traveling to the northern Orkney's of Scotland to see the historic Italian Chapel. Wonderful story behind it's construction by Italian POW''s during WWII.
I'd also like to do Herriot Country in the north Yorkshire Dales.
AlyAngel · F
I don't have one.
JohnnyNoir · 56-60, M
I’m not sure if there is a hiking tour that goes to the North Rim, but that would be fun
originnone · 61-69, M
My bucket is empty. I'm ready to leave.
