A Wild Bush

A wild bush near one of our site offices bloomed. Loved the view and clicked it during my last visit. Sadly there was a storm and shower the same evening and almost all the roses were lost 😢

That can grow longer and stronger with good support.

They are the hybrid rose trees Sirine and I lay under. She sang to me avava inouva. I developed an eye allergy from them that would completely shut my eyes with pimples. And although the treatment was traumatizing without anesthesia, I would still go back to those trees. Because my time beneath them was the only good part of my childhood.

@WandererTony The Atlas mountains, Algeria.

Maybe in few years things will be better and you can travel there. There is currently a bit of an economic boost. Better economy, safer tourism.

A larger segment of us don't really like the word Berber. It is linked to invaders' vocabulary. Berber is from barbarian. We were portrayed as savages by the greek, the arabs...etc We call ourselves the free men.

@Miram excuse my ignorance. 🙏
Free men is a nice term. 👌 i guess the importance of the words are best known to those who have suffered invasion and occupation.

And it wasnt tourisn thatwas taking me to that land. It was the iron ore and the associated industry. Nouadhibou and Nouakchott. Ports. Ore processing and handling 😊
Would you be knowing their local dialects too? I believe they would use many Amazigh words too.

@WandererTony Yes, I understand Mauretania languages and have friends from there, sweestest people.

You're actually awesome too. I don't always tell people about the berber label being a slur because of a few negative experiences I have had when explaining it. You are a gentleman and I appreciate that a lot
I think this is a rose.
