@Ashly Funny you mentioned that. I found some turnips today and struggled on whether to keep the greens.
They got tossed!
The turnips will be a big enough challenge to cook.

@Ashly One needs to accomplish something in retirement and I have determined to learn this new skill.
I tried growing turnips and ended up with something that looked more like is thanks to the Indiana clay. Live and learn.
Since I was a teacher of technology in the 90s, I take a particular satisfaction in acquiring new skills.

@Ashly I received my graduate degree in 1994 and really got a taste of learning new technologies particularly the TCP/IP protocol in 1993 when it was DARPA and used the Gopher to communicate. I hooked up the school system to the internet and saved them $50k a year through a statistical multiplexor. They couldn’t give me credit since I wasn’t a “good ole boy” but did give my students a carrot to incentivize completing their tasks quickly!

@Ashly I did the same for the Navy Reserves with their internet connection. This was before certification. I’ve got some real competition in the family though.
My little half-sister by my dad is Editor in Chief of Scientific American so no laurels yet for me. 😅
