Camping in Eryri (Snowdonia!)

I mentioned to my daughter a few months back I'd never been camping so she said she'd take me this summer.....and true to her word, we went last weekend!
We booked a very basic campsite, on a farm not far from Caernarfon for two nights. There was a loo and a shower, nowt else. There were dogs and chickens free roaming around the site and sheep and horses in the next field. We set up the tent next to a stream...it was all rather lovely! We sat out in the evenings with the fire pit, toasting mallows and stargazing...and put our drink cans/ bottles in the stream to cool!
We visited Llanberis and Beddgelert, Betws-y-Coed, and went wild swimming at Fairy Glen....ok.. I paddled...but my girlie swam. It was a fab few days. I slept well, no aches and pains, no hayfever or sore eyes.....maybe I need to go and live in the mountains permanently!!

Camping and boating are kind of the same difference. With a boat it is easy to go places where there are no people, and no tracks where they have been before either. Kind of the next level to camping. Drop anchor in a secluded cove and relax. Good for the soul.
Sounds like your first experience is going to be a lasting one. Great story.
