Spending the day in the forest far away from any people
I drove to my favorite spot in the middle of the forest for a day of hopping around rocks in the stream, building fires, and hanging out in the hammock. I ate a chocolate with mushies and started to explore and slipped, one foot sliding into the water, so I took off that shoe and sock and put it in the sun and kept at it. I probably didn’t look like the smartest person but having one bare foot, and one shoe actually made it where I could get to areas I normally couldn’t because now I could step in the water and use the other foot to step on the rocks.
After doing that for a while I strip down and slide into the water, it was cold but I had been baking in the sun so it was a welcomed shock. Feeling a little adventurous I climb out of the water and start hopping around the rocks again with nothing on. I hadn’t seen anyone for hours on the road near my spot so I had no worries about others seeing me. I chilled in the hammock and dried off, got sunburned in places I haven’t for a long time and read as listened to the sounds of the water rushing by. I was starting to get hungry so I started a fire. I got it going good so I put some water on the metal rack I brought and left it to boil so I could make coffee. As I waited I went back down to the stream and just laid in the rocks and looked up at the trees.
I finished my food and poked around at the fire for a few hours and then it was time to go home. I drove up the mountainous dirt road and decided to go by the lake before I left
I got to the lake and the sky was gorgeous so I spent the next 30 minutes staring at the sky and then I drove home. That was such a good day, I was present for most of it, lost in the actions of picking up sticks and snatching rocks out of the stream, staring at the sky and poking the fire.
