The mosquitoes are literally as thick as I’ve ever seen them this summer up here. But, the woods are lush and green. At least we have a tarp to keep the rain off while we enjoy supper and drinks at the fire. And I’ve added a bonus wild rose picture, too.
Happy camping!

I worked outside Athabasca one year and we had lots of mosquitoes. One of the smaller members of the crew got dragged off into the bush by a couple of them. I had seen so many mosquitoes I got to understand what they were saying. The two of them were talking about their prey and asking each other, " Do we eat him here or do we dare take him back in the bush where the big mosquitoes will take him away from us".
I was fishing in Maine on a river in a canoe and the mosquitoes was so thick they must have picked me up out of the canoe but couldn’t carry me off because the next thing I knew I was all wet and the canoe was 20 feet away. Mosquitoes are bad but add blackflys and them little no see ums it can take some of the fun out of fishing . @hippyjoe1955
Another black fly song is , Blackflys by Randy Spencer. I don’t know how to post songs like you did but it’s about the same as your song except it mentions Maine in it. 😂 Then someone ( some idiot)came up with a committee of save the black flys @hippyjoe1955
