Campers/hikers Have you ever used a life straw?

Do you feel that it works? I would imagine there is a variety of ways to clean water… but just wondering if anyone has had good bad experience with them?

We don’t have enough springs in Texas. We do have some but it’s always crowded (because there are so few and popular)
