I Like Camping
I love to go camping with my kids. It's great to get out in nature, relax and just recharge. The funny thing is camping for us really isn't that much different then our every day lives...except we sleep in a tent and have no electricity. Other then that, we're doing the same things we do every other day...hiking, fishing, kayaking, sitting around a camp fire in the evening next to the water. Same stuff different place.
I live way out in the middle of no where, with no neighbors, the last house on a dead end dirt road. So it's not like I go camping to get away from it all, just a change of scenery I guess. I do have to admit there is quite a bit of entertainment watching people that only do this stuff once in a great while...or never..trying to light camp fire in the rain or set up their tent for the first time. And yes, that is me and my kids pointing and laughing at you if you are one of those people.🤣
The last time out me and my oldest daughter were walking a lake side nature trail at a state park camp ground we were staying at and I had asked her to find me 10 things along the trail that were edible. Things like roots, berries, greens that sort of thing. I was quite surprised when I turned around and realized there was a dozen or so other people walking behind us thinking we were part of some park tour. Oh well, all part of the fun I guess.
