Autumn Has Officially Arrrived

Yes it happened very rapidly here. One day the trees had green leaves and then the leaves started to fall before they changed colour. Now there's not many leaves left and lots of my flowers are dying off. But it's been a very pretty spring and summer in the garden. Just putting the broad bean seedlings in for over winter now. So something to look forward to in the spring.

A little later this year than usual for me. I have a big maple that's usually pretty fully changed by now but maybe 1/4 of the leaves have turned. But it's comin'. We've had some nights well below freezing and that jump starts a lot of stuff. Including the end of most of my perennial plants.

It's starting but we've had the warmest September recorded, and the weather has not really started to cool much yet. There are even still butterflies fluttering by, in my garden.

Even used the fire pit last night
