On my reading project

In these Autumn days in the life cycle, my purpose is to be devoted to literature in as wide and inclusive a way as possible. I want this to be my official ratifying of such an impetus.

Whilst alone when not reading and not contributing to SW while awake i shall listen to informative videos, listen to the long running podcast History of Philosophy Without Any Gaps, and Seinfeld episodes from my DVD box set, which will be followed by the few other sitcoms i have on DVD, as that is the only form of a/v entertainment that can be consumed without the arduous task of turning the lamp off.

The use of social media like SW has been on the decline for awhile, and this merely confirms and glorifies in that, i've pretty much gotten what i could out of sites such as this, i feel such a disconnect with whatever is going on, and my reading project is where i place my dying gaze upon, that intense fiery attention that would be out of place and grossly inappropriate for any other living being.

Heartfelt thanks goes to all i've known and had nice words with, i wish y'all ever better days, despite the quality of the big picture the news depicts, the microcosm of the self's quality is what matters, and all through history there are inspirational accounts of the small overcoming the large, the small in other words can change the large, when one is driven and resourceful.

The scope

The Ancient landscape - this i feel to be on the rise in the daily usage

The medieval landscape

The Renaissance/Reformation landscape

The enlightenment, the gothic, whatever came before the Modern

The modern

The post-modern

The post-post-modern - open to debate, but it seems that there is a post after the initial post where there's an effort to be more authentic and down to earth, and this is my current focus, with the spotlight on William Tanner Vollmann

The above regards the classics and that which is often cited as great, what is left is:

specialist stuff devoted to any of the above

purely entertaining stuff
