So uhh when it comes to mix drinks has anyone on here ever mixed liquor with just water

I need healthier less sugar filled mixers for my drinks and what's healthier than water but how does watered down rum and vodka even taste? Some one help me out right now!!!!!!!!!!!

scotch neat, with water, on the rocks or on the rocks with water. if drinking neat, match with same amount of water between glasses. no hangover at all... or very minimal
