I love farms, the farmers, farm machinery, farm animals, barns, crops, grain elevators, my old farmall tractors and everything about farming.
I think probably the thing I like most is simply the kind hearted personality that comes from farm folks. Remember that these are the hands that feed you. The peace love and generosity of these hard working people is superb.
The old style moral values still exist on a farm. They take care of each other. They share expensive equipment between each other and help to make sure their neighbors survive too.
Farming is very different from all other jobs and is the most important work there is. Yes,I was raised on a small farm and I miss it. But I am still very much around the farm folks and their machinery. I am a professional tractor mechanic Amongst other things.
My daughter got the opportunity to actually operate a combine and harvest corn at the age of 12 years old. She became instantly addicted to farming and the people involved. She is almost 15 now and has her own beautiful old Allis Chalmers tractor that we restored together.
What more could a father ask for than this. She loves the moral values that she learns from you farmers. She goes to every farm tractor show she possibly can go to.
My hat is off to you farmers and thank you so much for all that you do. I love you all.
