About To Move To Kansas, Should I Be Concerned?

I am leaving South Dakota for first time, for Kansas to live and work on a farm. I have heard horrid stories about Kansas being so damn dull that it makes you go blind but I need good job and I have one with family down there that owns a farm. What would you do? When you only work a small part time job and need something better? Thanks.

@SatyrService Well thanks but all the BBQ in Kansas is based on Texas, from what I understand. But that's okay.
