@JoyfulSilence I had a few Samsungs before getting the Pixel. I've had the Pixel 3 Pro and the 6 Pro now I have the 10 Pro XL. I think the Pixel is a much superior phone.

@Musicman
The thing I like the most about my phone is it was free. 😃
As long as I keep my plan long enough.
Normally, Verizon bills people in monthly installments for the device until it is paid off. That has not changed. It still shows up as a charge on my bill. But then it is erased by an equal credit.
If I left for a new carrier, then the credits would stop and I'd have to pay off the balance. It was a pretty smart way for Verizon to gain and keep customers. Yet everybody was doing it. They must make most of their money on the plans. My guess is the markup on the actual hardware cost is minimal.
Yet I already had a plan. All I had to do was upgrade for like $10 more a month.
SOLD!
And now, if I am not mistaken, Verizon is offering to pay off my phone and give me a new one periodically. The latest scheme. It reminds me of Microsoft. You used to buy software. Now you subscribe to it. They just want to hook me for life.
The odd thing is right now I am on home WiFi, not mobile, because it is better. The WiFi box is hooked up to my landline Xfinity cable TV Internet. It sucks to have to pay twice. And Xfinity wants to sell me mobile service, too! They probably just buy it from Verizon who owns the towers, right? But the cell service from Verizon is OK on the road. It sucks at home and at work, though. Fortunately at work we have a landline. Probably Verizon!

@JoyfulSilence Verizon is definitely the way to go. Comcast is crap! No one likes their cellphone service. Verizon is paying for my phone too.
