Hubby and I have owned our little log cabin for about 11 years now I would say. It's not very fancy and it's not very close to home but it's peaceful and it's ours. We had some great times there and memories with friends. Now we are debating selling it and buying a small campervan for camping instead. So my question is. For those of you who have done both which do you prefer? Camping in in cabin, or a camper van?

I think you'd find the cabin far more comfortable. and it's got the advantage of being someplace that you can learn about deeply, know where certain things are. the bigger benefit on an rv of some sort is you can go to many different places.
if things were up to me and I had enough free time to warrant it, I'd want to have both. if I could only do one or the other, I'd probably take an rv before a dedicated cabin - they're too probe/liable to damage from some miscreant finding it randomly. or worse hurting themselves and suing you for it.
