It's easy to see how you fell in love with that tree
When it rains and her bark is wet, the smooth skin makes it easy to grip and hang and twist and turn on it. It feels like a hand holding you up.
Also, in the summer, cicadas leave their husks on her. My dream is to hold a live one someday, like your photo I saw a year or so ago. I think about it sometimes. That they don’t let just anyone find them, and they let you. @robingoodfellow

@soulrespite I looked it up. It's a Northern Cardinal. They don't live in Europe so they look and sound very exotic to me.
