This is too precious. I have never seen this happen in the whole 13 years I have lived here.

All the sweet little birdies were lined up so tight along my window ledge, but when I reached for my camera, a few flew away, but you can see some of them. Now that I know they'll come to my ledge, I'm going to leave some bird seed out for them and nobody will care. 🤭 They won't let us leave food out for the cats or dogs in the yard down there, but I can sure feed the birds from my window. And I hope they deposit their droppings over the ledge. 😂

On second thought, even though I would love to watch them eat, I will pour the little seeds on the ground below and that will give them plenty to eat for the winter.

I don't have my heat on at all so I wonder why they gathered like that along my window ledge. It was so cute seeing all of them with their fluffy little feathers and little heads. You can't tell much from my picture but it will give you an idea of what I saw. You might have to blow it up a bit to see them. But they were just packed together as tight as they could be along my windowsill. Haha It was so cool to see.

I just looked out that window and I noticed the crows are as big as guinea pigs now. 😂 They sure are smart birds, I know that. They can even talk. I've seen the documentaries. I'd love to have one as a pet.

The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 6:26-27), emphasizes that if God provides for birds, who are seemingly insignificant, He will certainly provide for humans. We are His more valuable creation, and He urges people not to worry and to trust in His care and provision for their needs, as He knows and cares for every aspect of creation, including us.

Birds tend to gather up in cold or rainy weather. If you feed them it’s better not to leave seeds on the ground. It will attract mice and then they’ll try to get inside. Fortunately the feral cats around seem to have taken care of the mouse population. I know several of those cats love to hunt. Even the calico females were surrounding the tree in my front yard trying to stalk the squirrels. Every once in a while I’ll hear a squirrel fussing around in a tree and believe that’s because one of the cats has been after it. They aren’t eating much of the sunflower seeds that I put out, This summer they would empty the open bird feeder within a few hours in the morning. Now the seeds can last a couple days at least. I caught one of the feral cats siting in that bird feeder. 😂
@cherokeepatti oh I know they do. Some people hate them. They can really cause havoc. That's awful what happened, for the both of you. I hate to see that.

@LadyGrace a lot of people had to get their siding repaired and other things done to their homes because of squirrels, they cost us money.
@cherokeepatti Indeed. I know that happened to one lady I know.
