Found two of these today. Tasted one with no issues. Looks like a type that is safe and difficult to confuse with any poisonous versions. Still new to this.
@YoMomma They are amazing little creatures. They are here from around May until late September - sometimes a little later. I can't imagine how they fly hundreds of miles with those little bodies and speedy wings. I have a feeder in my yard which I change every week and have had many encounters with them... I feel like they greet me at the beginning and end of the season by flying very close and hovering nearby - it's happened a few times.....🤷
