A picture I took at one of my fishing spots years ago

I forget how beautiful it is since I haven't gone fishing since right before Naya was born. I used to go with my best friends often & we'd just drink/smoke & make a bonfire while we fished. So many good memories there. As a group of guys who grew up together in the ghetto, fishing wasn't something you'd expect to see guys like us, doing. Even most of our friends didn't understand it. But it wasn't about the fish it was about how peaceful & beautiful it was just to be there. There's nothing like enjoying nature with people that matter to you.

I would loooove to go with my family for the first time & have a whole new style of experience with it 🙏 my lady said she loves fishing but we've still never gone together.

Sadly, the last time I visited that spot with my best friend a few years ago, that spot was destroyed by a fire. A lot of that area was destroyed actually... It was so heartbreaking to see. At least I'll always have this picture.

Sidenote: it's also the same spot one of my original pfp's was taken at

There's a spot that I used to thoroughly enjoy in the local mountains back in the 1970s and 1980s. The waterfalls were a perfect spot to swim a wade it.

Unfortunately it was destroyed as well as made inaccessible in the 1990s. This is all I have left to remember of it...

@DeWayfarer it's so sad to see beautiful parts of nature get destroyed. It's awesome we get to have the memories at least but it makes us wish we could have those moments back again just to experience the view again for a moment. Beautiful pictures man. I can almost feel the good memories through your pictures

@ChiefJustWalks that was some my photography work there in highschool. I even developed it myself back then.
