Oh I bet he feels horrible, at least he didn't shoot it.

@TexChik My sister was bit by a copperhead when she was 12 years old .I was standing next to her when we were burning a large brush pile early one Sunday morning. They took her to the hospital and the doctor wouldn’t give her antivenom. Sent her home & said to put an ice pack on it. Of course her foot swelled up like balloon and her leg was swelling too. My dad called the military base and told them what happened. They said to bring her in and they’d see her at the hospital. They had to put 13 needles around her thigh to get what venom they could out and they were angry about it. She stayed for 8 days. Anyway someone gave her a rubber snake a couple years later and she pranked us on the deck with it. No matter how many times we saw it that damned rubber snake scared us. There were a lot of copperheads in the area. My uncle ended up throwing on a low roof over the front door. One day a couple months later my sister threw a Frisbee up there and I got up on a ladder to retrieve. I saw that rubber snake and about fell off the ladder. It’s not fun to prank people with snake things.

@TexChik and we had blackjack trees all over the acreage. They shed half the leaves in the fall and the other half in early spring. Which meant a lot of work raking those leaves and also making sure the grass was kept mowed short and no piles of anything laying around on the acreage. They’ll get under brush piles or anything like boards etc very quickly. There was a patch of woods next to the property and the only time we’d venture in it was the middle of winter.

I can see why,

A woman, down under in Oz,
Wore pajamas that looked like snakes' jaws.
Her husband took fright,
Bashed the "snake", lest it bite,
Broke her foot; 'twas soon bandaged in gauze.

@Thinkerbell some people have a weird fantasy of dressing up in the bedroom

No, that is not Mrs. Kelly

Those are really creepy socks. Guaranteed to keep me away. Not sure I would want to get within baseball bat range of those.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@bowman81 I don’t even like snakeskin print fabrics in clothing. I don’t see anything beautiful about that.
she'll get even by seeing a worm in bed and using it for bait
