Spring hike in the Sierra - Carson Pass area near Lake Tahoe

@tindrummer yeah my grandfather was still in back then. He enlisted in US Army Air corps during World War II Korea commanded the iron Dukes on Guam during the raids over Hanoi and later was involved in the Cold War and looking glass Etc

@tindrummer I live at the foot of the mountains myself, by a lake, and it's abso-f*cking-lutely beautiful. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else, and especially not in one of those mega-cities where 10,000,000 people are crushed together like 'sardines'.

@helenS Me either although,.if you remember, I lived in West Berlin for a year and enjoyed it.
My teen years were in Houston, Texas which I did not like at all.

Now I'm just up the hill from a Bay of the Pacific and close to a coastal mtn range.
My beloved Sierra is a minimum of 3 hours away. 😥
