I'm pretty sure I'd have chickened out, even in my 20's.

@Piper I was fearless back then. Ran with the bulls alone in Pamplona when my friends got cold feet at the last minute.
@tindrummer damn you were a regular Johnny Knoxville. I'm impressed.

@robingoodfellow Almost half a century has passed and those "stunts" are behind me.

Notice my profile pic?
@tindrummer yes, heck of a place to pitch a tent. It's beautiful. Like camping on the edge of the world.

@tindrummer Pretty gutsy, to be running with intentionally terrified and goaded, angry bulls who are running to their deaths. I might still be 'brave' enough to be there protesting the cruel tradition, if it was possible.
tindrummer · M
@Piper I wasn't afraid of much back then - foolish.
They don't know the end result.

Doubt if anyone was protesting back then in Spain - I didn't know about it if so.
Can't imagine no one protesting nowadays.
@tindrummer I doubt that you were alone with bulls! Lots of others, usually. Still it takes some nerve. Congratulations.

@Alfred22 True. I wasn't clear about that - always a crowd on the route.
@tindrummer Anyone gored the time you ran? I hope not but it happens.
tindrummer · M
@Alfred22 Yes but even worse 2 died in a pileup entering the bullring the day after I ran.
@tindrummer Spanko life is much safer! Fewer deaths but sorer bottoms.
