Toads. Cats won't even get near them.

@DeWayfarer yeah they have a toxin in their skin that will foam their mouths intensely if they bite them. Have seen it happen to a German shepherd we had.

@cherokeepatti it was the one thing my current cat avoided the most.

I wonder how she knew this. She never showed those signs.
@DeWayfarer maybe they learned it like my cat learned about chewing through extension cords. My cat only chewed thru an extension cord once in her entire life and she didn't tell me she did it either but she never did it again.

@IndianaJoes I don't believe so in this case. She's not the only cat I have had. And that cat I had in the same place as a tiny kitten. Didn't even have it's eyes fully opened. Ran right to me.

Same thing. She never touched the toads. Everything else she brought into the house! Birds, lizards even mice she brought in. The toads that lived under the place she never brought in.

You would see it if the cat started to foam.
