@cherokeepatti Yes, it got global, then bushfires all around the world, then came a respiratory virus that turned the world upside down, it got variants and this continued till date. Now the climate change is bent on making our lives more miserable. There are ongoing manmade disasters too but that's not the discussion.

@YMITheWayIM the recent flooding in Dubai and Oman…yikes.

@cherokeepatti Yup, It's a shame the mankind is still fighting over petty differences all across the globe.

@YMITheWayIM well the way Dubai got built up has something to do with this I’m sure. Not to mention the construction workers brought in from poor nations and cheated out of their wages after getting overworked, exhausted & sick and then having to go home without fulfilling their contract…that angered me when it was happening and read about it. China has done the very same building huge residential towers and building a city that has lain fallow and the buildings are starting to degrade over time. They call those cities “Ghost Cities” and now China is having rain. Their dams may burst, and the biggest one could devastate the entire nation.

@cherokeepatti UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Behrain etc., the ultra rich gulf nations have a history of that. I was there and have had a hands on experience myself. China and Russia are a bit too big to exhibit such behaviour.

@YMITheWayIM It is just another form of slavery to cheat people out of their hard-earned wages. Those workers were having to get sent money from home to be able to have food to eat & any other expenses all the while they were working. Then to come home penniless after someone sends them money for airfare. I heard they did this scam in some other countries where they were making the applicants pay $ to apply for the jobs…like buying a job. Taking advantage of desperation for a job from people who are poor. So much evil in this.

@cherokeepatti It happened and is still happening. I hope northern america is free of such practices.

@YMITheWayIM The Chinese are buying up farms and medical marijuana grow centers in the USA. . They are importing Chinese using work visas. Some of the owners in Oklahoma have been caught in abusive practices with those employees that they brought here. Withholding pay & at another not allowing them to leave, forcing them to stay on the property 24 hours every day of the year. Some escaped and went to authorities because of it. There were also 4 people killed at another huge marijuana grow center within the past couple of years. Have heard that there is marijuana being sold on the black market by some of these grow centers and crime goes along with that. Some of the lawmakers here want to ban foreigners from operating these grow centers, too many permits were issued and it’s causing crime.
