If you like to hike be aware that wolves roam in packs and some have eaten people. One wolf ate 9 children in a mountain town in Sweden 1856.

There are many packs in Idaho, Wyoming, Oregon, Nevada, and growing packs in California.
The first known pack in California in modern times was the Shasta Pack (last observed in late 2015). Today, California has seven confirmed wolf packs: Whaleback Pack, Lassen Pack, Beckwourth Pack and an unnamed pack in Lassen, Plumas, Tehama, and Tulare Counties .

I’ll stay in Maine . Times are changing here also but generally I’m more afraid of a little tick than any of the animals around here except when they have there babies around. ( never get between mom and her babies is always a great idea.)

@Carazaa Yes I dogs are nice I feed them cookies. Also when I find little puppies I play with them. I also try to make friends with cat and birds too

t feed them anything with sugar.

@Carazaa I feed them sugar free biscuits. But it's still better then they starving. Milk also helps them. I can't feed them non vegetarian food. They do hunt for that. I once saw a doggy still someone chicken 😂

This is one reason I almost always carry a sharp knife, and trained in martial arts for years. It would be hard if there's more than 5 wolves, but when the flesh does not have the strength needed that is when we turn to the spirit that has all power

I always carry a large caliber handgun and extra ammo when I'm in the wilds. Predators come in all shapes and sizes, including the two legged kind.

@Lilnonames My guess is where you live there are many wolves. I just read that the smaller European wolves are more aggressive and dangerous than North American wolves!
