I work outside just about every day in the spring, summer, and fall, and usually get stung two or three times a year. Fortunately I don't have a bad reaction to them. When I was in my teens, a yellowjacket landed on my cheek and walked beneath my glasses before I could react. He walked around on my eyelid covering my closed eye. I knew it would be a major problem if I got stung on the eyelid or eyeball, so I had to stand still and wait until it found its way out and left. Eventually it did.
