The Weeping Willow....

A weeping willow is calling my name
I'm stumbling over root and stone
Trying to reach that willow tree
I see it's shadow looming in the darkness
Still calling my name
It's oh so lonely
As am I
It's crying out with it's weeping willow tears
I make it to the willow
I embrace it as it embraces me
Letting one another know
We're not alone

This is beautifully written. Who knew you possessed such a wonderful gift for poetry.💚🌷🍃

It's message is very heartfelt, especially in wanting to help others, although I wish you didn't feel lonely. Sigh.🥺

I tried to take a picture of my Weeping Willow the other day and it just didn't turn out no matter the ways in which I tried to capture it. Under its bowing limbs, I've always found it the perfect refuge to read.😌

@MoonlightLullabyOld my gift comes and goes, I guess....it's not really poetry to me....it's just kind of my interpretation....I'm not well versed by any means. 🌼💚💫

It's message is truly meant to help others.....but, there are particular reasons in my life I feel alone right now. Don't be sad about it.....happens all the time....I'm used to a lot of things. 😉

You are truly blessed to have a weeping willow.....try capturing it again. I bet it will come out for you.....don't give up on that. It's wonderful to have those bowing limbs as a refuge to read under!! 💕🌿🍃
@SW-User Well, I think it's well versed free style poetry. And it's the type I'd rather see vs rhymey poems. Then again, that's contradictory like the enigmatic I am since I love poets of old, and sonnets. Especially my beloved Lord Byron.

I know the reasons behind your loneliness and understand what you mean. It doesn't mean I have to like the thought of it.😶

I guess many of us are lonely in certain ways. Sometimes the introvert in me prefers to be alone and sometimes I hate it. In other words, it resonates.🩵

@MoonlightLullabyOld Thank you ever so much for your words here. I have never truly been interested in poetry until I discovered Edgar Allan Poe and when our paths crossed I started reading even more. It's sparked a bit of something.....what....I have no idea....🤭

I know you know the reasons....I truly know you care and don't like it, but all is well. 🤗🌷

Yes, we are lonely in certain ways....I became an introvert mostly to protect myself and my heart. Friends have always screwed me over and I had enough. It does resonate with me too!! 💜🌼🌿

Friends have always screwed me over and I had enough.

Although I'm an introvert by nature, I understand this all too well. But don't go saying it like every friend has.💖

It's sparked a bit of something.....what....I have no idea....🤭

Whatever it is, I like it and hope you keep it up.🙏✨

@MoonlightLullabyOld Believe you me.....I know how you love the poets of old....you inspired me to read more from the poets of old.....one of my favorite works by Shakespeare is Macbeth. ☺️😉💫

@MoonlightLullabyOld I'm sorry I worded it that way......you're ever so right, not every friend has screwed me over. 💕🌼 I do know that for a fact.....🤗

I will continue to keep it up.....I will.....🙏☺️💜
@SW-User Ah, I didn't know you liked Shakespeare as well. I'm not much on many of his plays, but I have enjoyed A Midsummer Night's Dream along with Romeo and Juliet. My favorite poem of his is Sonnet 18. This is it set to music....

@MoonlightLullabyOld This is absolutely beautiful as I listen and respond.....I can see why you love this sonnet.....it truly speaks volumes.....it's one of my favorites now. Thank you for sharing this!! 🤗💜🌼

A Midsummer Night's Dream and Romeo and Juliet are two of my favorite plays also. You never know after all this time what you'll find out....🤭🌷
