Swimming Near Rocks and Mangroves
Today I went to Oleta River State Park to swim on the [second to] last day of summer. I entered the water on the east by climbing over rocks. I waded and swam over moss-covered rocks, passing corners of mangrove trees and passing other entrances near pavilions. As expected, I saw boats. a jet ski, and a fisher.
Eventually I climbed over some rocks onto land, then skinny dipped for 3 minutes, then retrieved my trunks. After noticing the sky get darker, I thought that maybe two hours had passed and was concerned about the park closing. This lead me to climb over rocks back on land into a trail, which I followed barefoot for 900 steps back to my bag (I was counting for a rough idea of how far I swam). My hands and feet have scratches, so no swimming for a week. Only an hour had passed, so it turned out that I could have just swam back.
