Are they combo rods and reels?
I was thinking of picking up a rod for my daughter let me know what you think for the cheaper end Shakespeare reels are terrible but those ugly sticks are great. Not exactly looking to shell out for a better reel for a 5 year old.

@Ozuye502 most schools nowadays have fishing teams and most sell off their gear every year pretty cheap.
Most conservation departments don't mind giving kids free ones.
For beginners you can't go wrong with a Zebco. Little known fact.. most pros keep a Zebco 33 on their boat

@MarineBob hmm i never thought of zebco but schools in my area fishing isn't taken seriously unfortunately but i will definitely try and get my hands on one.
