There's a pretty intense wildfire burning close to where I live in the mountains. In addition to water dropping helicopters, which were flying at night which speaks to the severity, there's been a steady stream of air tankers dropping retardant.
This shot was from this morning. I didn't take it but it's a good look at the risk these pilots take. And the skill. They've been flying constantly since early this morning.
So many people risk their shit to dive in to these types of fires. Nothing but respect and gratitude for what they do.
