Of course once they discovered I had no food, they left me, and went for a swim with the lazy little log turtles.

These are fed so often they do not attack people, only each other. But the adults will hiss if you try get too close. Unless they thing you have food to share.

Ouch! So sorry. I have seen them bite each other and feathers fly. And it is scary when they lunge for food, like corn people toss.
