Is there pepper in peppermint?

If you’ve had fresh peppermint and a milder mint like spearmint you would understand why they call it pepper mint, it is quite hot compared to spearmint.

Guess they should have consulted with You first? 🙄

I should have never put peppermint on my stew. It's not a member of the pepper family.
