A Christian, a Muslim, and a Jew walk into a bar ....

[media=https://youtu.be/VAVp7i2MGE0]

What happens when a Christian and a Muslim get married and have a kid who marries a Jew? The result is this kid and I think he has a perspective we could all learn from.

When you speak to someone with whom you disagree, seek first to understand, not just to win. When you make peace, make peace through understanding, not simply through agreement.

This was a lovely post with such a heartwarming message of tolerance for others and kindness to all! 😇😇😇

@MommyLucy Thank you Lucy. That was, indeed, a big part of the message. ♥

I would like to believe that. Yet fanaticism breeds fanatics. Not sheep. The social genetics just isn't compatible to make a lamb. Only a different type of fanatic.

It is always best to defend. Never to attack. Understanding that is key to freedom. There will always be the attacker from which defense is needed though.

Life truly is change.

@sarabee1995 It's a reality that I seek. Not a belief. Beliefs are man made.

I understand beliefs very well. They are all man made. And because of that they have a purpose.
sarabee1995 · 31-35, F
@DeWayfarer And, again, no beliefs were advocated or even discussed here so I have no idea what you are going on about. 🤷‍♀
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@sarabee1995 You mean besides the three beliefs you mentioned and their respective symbols below.

You start with beliefs and you end with their respective symbols. Then expect it to not be about beliefs. 🤷🏻‍♂

Yet I wasn't referring to even those three. I'm still referring to ALL beliefs.

🤪
sarabee1995 · 31-35, F
@JoyfulSilence Do you resort to satire every time a serious argument for a better world is made or only when it discusses religion?
Thrust · 56-60, M
Harvard sure. Didn't the state just sent Harvard's coroner away for many years for selling body parts? Including full faces (to be used as fuck toys?)

And skin to make lamp shades (must have been Prof Ilse Koch)
sarabee1995 · 31-35, F
@Thrust I'm not sure what Harvard (the institution) had to do with my post here, but sure.

And the guy was not a coroner. He was the manager of the anatomical gift program. 🙄

@sarabee1995

The anatomical gift program

Sounds like a porno fantasy camp 😵‍💫

@Dillon7128 Christianity, Islam and Judaism are all Abrahamic Religions meaning all three believe in the first five books of the old testament so all three have that in common! 😇😇😇 In a way Moses started all three! 🤪🤪🤪 I am a left leaning Liberal progressive Christian who believes in tolerance for sure! 😘😘😘
sarabee1995 · 31-35, F
@Dillon7128 Sorry, but where did I say anything like what you imply??

Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all preach fidelity to the God of Abraham (Ibrahim) and Isaac, the Creator of Heaven & Earth, the Maker of all things seen and unseen.

All three follow the Law of Moses and look forward to God's reign on Earth.

But none of that is what I posted about here. What I posted about here and what our Harvard speaker said is that when you disagree with someone, you should seek first to understand their perspective before seeking to win in an argument (debate).
