@danielsnyder In 2018, tRump negotiated the replacement of NAFTA with USMCA. It allows Canada to protect some domestic dairy operations; I don't know the details. But, whatever they are, they are the terms tRump agreed in 2018 to and signed into law in Jan 2020.

Under the 1951 treaty (amended 2004), the status of Greenland and its security is already the subject of agreement between the US and Greenland. Nothing has changed since then, except for the accession of the orange moron to the US presidency.
Greenland is also a member of NATO so is protected by Article 5.
Trump's nonsense is nothing to do with common sense, but populism appealing to his hard-of-thinking MAGA supporters.

Though that still raises the question, how could the USA possibly evict Chinese interests from another country? Especially interests there legally and not harming the US. It can't, of course.
