the insane world demands israel negotiates with terrorist dictators who make war on school children?? clinton promised arafat 90% of his demands and still said NO. islam in its beginning made much progress and helped spread appreciation for the arts, math , science, architecture, medicine\surgery, etc.

Islam was a rich, thriving culture.

Arafat got the best deal the Palestinians were likely to get--from THIS same Israeli PM!--and rejected it.

To me, that showed he he'd never been serious about negotiating, didn't actually want to govern in the peace for which he'd claimed he fought; instead, he just wanted to be the "freedom fighter", the outlaw. It was a said day for his people, the Middle East, and the world.

We can see how that worked out.

Doing the mundane work of making streets, having clean water, good education, taking care of garbage & waste...that's what administration is about. Not shooting guns in the air.
