I wonder if the tourist understood that. Not all tourists can speak Italian. 😅

@SW-User It wasn't in Italian, it was in Venetian dialect, hence why unequivocally a local

But I think even a non-Italian speaker would've been able to grasp the gist of it 😌

Love Venice ... the arrangement of the beauty in Venice brings calm and excitment.... I always thought that for local people of a tourist attraction city like Venice it must be very difficult to deal with soooo many tourists visiting all the time, specially during the high season (now) ... However, tourists and locals learn to put up with each other... like locals keep a smile since it helps hugely with the economy, and tourist learn to respect locals, their traditions and their privacy....

@Soossie Well, it's not even a tourist vs. locals thing, if it was another local that honked at him the response would've potentially been even worse; and whereas the tourist would probably back off, another local would've started yelling back some other profanities 😶
@Elessar

Honestly, I wasnt talking about your friend.... I know how it can be.... sometimes locals become very patient in situations because they have been insulted by tourists and not a local...

I know you said it wasnt about locals vs. tourists, but it is very difficult to put up with some of the careless tourists... they can destroy a city and disrespect the locals in so many ways and that is very annoying...

@Soossie I know what you mean, I agree actually. In my experience here most tourist are respectful tho, if anything the problem is the volume of tourists, which is something the individual tourist has no control over. 😶
@Elessar

I have visited Venice couple of times... once in high season and once in low season.... I have to admit, I liked it better under the rain with less tourists...
