This July 4th, I know I’m supposed to hate illegals immigrants, but being in LA, I’m struggling.

The guys who do the maintenance in my condo complex are really nice and work hard. I try to hate them, and be a good American, but I’m finding it difficult. Not sure what I should do.

I'm in LA too. Many people I know are immigrants or children of immigrants. I don't know who's legal and who's not. It's not something I think about, and I don't feel any animosity toward people who are in this country from somewhere else. I would support helping illegal immigrants get legal status.

People just want to scapegoat all their problems onto illegal immigrants. Those in power want you to do that too, so you look away from them.
