Moreso embarrassed by very vocal segments that want to go back to 1890 economically and 1950 socially. I'm aware that isn't really the majority despite how loud they are. So despite the embarrassment I do not feel shame as I prefer to identify with the parts that push for progress.

I'm not American, I'm British and proud of it. I've nothing against America though. I haven't even been there so how could I judge it?

Yes. It's not my fault, but it's a dang shame. My people spoke almost never about being removed and barred from their ancestral countries and lied like rugs for the USA.
