I have never seen any post about Canadians hating Americans. On the whole most Canadians like Americans; we are more the same than different. I do think that Canadians have a slight inferiority complex living beside a world super power. Also, like any relationship it is complicated. There are things we don't like about America and things we love about America.

@JimboSaturn Thank you. I appreciate your insight

@JimboSaturn Do you think Canadians have felt, at times, a sort of double burden not only due to being a neighbor of the US, but also because of being created by the British...?

@SomeMichGuy I think we struggle with our identity a bit. Although it is changing.

@JimboSaturn When I first watched CBC a bit, when Paulie Ladyspath [lmao] read the news, it used to be a Commonwealth roundup, hitting Canada, Britain, New Zealand, Australia, etc.
It became more Canada-centric over time.
However, I always got the impression that Canadians were VERY interested in their country, and in earnest about it being run well/properly/fairly. I don't know if this is because your current version is a younger, more vital country...but it impressed me and made me feel good that we had some solid neighbors on the other side of our very long border. 😊
