Americans used to be one of the nicest people...what happened to that?

Now it’s like “to each his own “...no more mr. nice guy!

Compared to Canada, Americans seem to always be a more of a "every person for himself" type of people. We think more for the greater good.

@Wiseacre I am thinking more on a larger scale.
We have universal healthcare, and better social programs.
I am surprised that American workers don't have some of the same benefits that we take for granted.
