The US population woulda been declining for a pretty long time now, were it not for immigration. Immigration will presumably continue to supplement the population after lockdown ends.

@BlueVeins in the seventies we learned that 1.7 births per woman was replacement level reproduction for us. People had to think of themselves as not the future. We are doing it, now.
