@Fairydust the pangs to leave the US?
Fairydust · F
@CurseYCure the U.K., not to leave here, I do like living here, just love the lifestyle in Oz and the weather.

New Zealand
JupiterDreams · 31-35
@CurseYCure I loved it there. It felt like home to me
Graylight · 51-55, F
@JupiterDreams SO much, so much, so much. Ever love a thing, person or place before you ever experienced it because your soul just had some kind of connection? That's New Zealand.
JupiterDreams · 31-35
@Graylight Absolutely!! 😊

I would be in Canada right now but I can't afford it.

I understand :( @hunkalove

I hope to retire in France; about 5 years after my business is well established and my son is out of university. Been there, want to go back, but this time to stay. Provence is my preferred area; Lyon north of there, specifically. Making plans on it.

I immigrated to Australia. Moving to another world is quite a trip, to say the least.

Why those countries?
CurseYCure · 36-40, F
@CrazyMusicLover I am Czech from my mothers side, but never got to really experience the culture. Portugal just because I find it to be lovely
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@CurseYCure I met some great Czech people. Portugal seems like a nice country but I heard many people struggle financially there and often work abroad because of it.
CurseYCure · 36-40, F
@CrazyMusicLover I’ve heard similar things. From what I’ve read, it’s easiest to succeed in Portugal as an immigrant if you’re an educator with a grasps on the language. So I’m striking out haha

I've had a desire to immigrate to the Northern island of New Zealand. Either there, or maybe to one of the tamer places in Australia. I have a cousin who loves living there.
However, I'm too old to immigrate to either of those places. If I could turn the clock back about 20 years, I could change a LOT of things in my life.

I'd love to go to Canada but I don't have the required skill set to work there 😒
CurseYCure · 36-40, F
@HotPizza71 my sympathies! What skills do they require?
HotPizza71 · 51-55, M
@CurseYCure to be trained in a profession ie an electrician, or something of a background where training is required in your own country..
CurseYCure · 36-40, F
@HotPizza71 I understand. Never too late to become an authority or something though 😉

@Driver2 fair point, though I don’t believe the onus is their own...
