Yes. My cousin moved to Israel in 1961. She has never returned to live in the USA. She loves it in Israel. I also knew a US American man who lived in Mexico quite happily for 40 years before he died there. In the 1960s, several people I knew emigrated to Canada due to the military draft and remained there living happy productive lives.
Sometimes the country one is born in is just not the right country. I was born in the USA, and I love living in the USA myself but everybody is different. Most people who live in the USA love it but a few prefer other countries.
