I Am American

If a American citizen renounced their American citizenship can they get it back? Or is it permanent & you need to start as like a immigrant?

Nah once you renounce your citizenship you can never come back as a citizen not even through immigration, just try to get dual citizenship if you can.

So what would be better get citizenship of another country & keep your American citizenship. Or get citizenship of other country & renounced American citizenship

@Mariocrespo8546: Dual citizenship would be the best, but not everyone can get it.

@pianoisland: what if you want to move to Argentina & become a full citizen should that American move to Argentina fully?

If you are okay with only being allowed in America as a tourist/visitor yes. Is that where your family is? This is a pretty big decision to make so definitely make sure your intentions are worth it.
