Gloria Naylor - Mama Day

Gloria Naylor is probably the most underrated author in American history. Mama Day is a terrific short novel about the life of a mother in a poor inner city African American family. It's worth your time to check out if you're. a reader. I thought of it today because it's Mother's Day.

I read that several years ago, and it is a good book.
She also wrote The Women of Brewster Place.
