I Am African American

*Gasps loudly* The Gasp! I had no idea...

Alright though seriously... people who have a problem with me because of my skin tone, like if you think for whatever reason you're superior to me... I laugh at that notion. People who won't date me because I'm black, while I respect your preferences... just know I think that the notion that you won't date someone in general just because of something like race is absolutely preposterous.

Would you date a woman 6'11" tall. Or one extremely skinny or fat. Super high or low voice? 20 years older or younger (in 20 years plus, of course). Some would. Some would not. It's ok to have preferences physical, behavioral, or whatever. No one of ever exclaimed "Preposterous!" when a woman says she prefers her man be tall, dark, and handsome.

@AnimatronicLick True, but the simple notion of not being willing to date someone because of any of those things truly seems ridiculous to me, but maybe that's just because I try not to judge people on simple things like that just because I know the feeling well... in the end it's my opinion. And I would... if I was interested in women. And part of the reason there is such a stigma around it is because things like tv and movies have idolized what the "right" kind of man to have is, and that is generally "it". Which again, is kind of unfair. But once again, just my opinion and I respect that you disagree with me.

@Lilrox9624 True. A preference is just that - a preference. Although some may carry more weight than others, "preference" is not the same as "requirement." I may prefer more fuller figures, but if I connect with someone thinner, I would consider dating her.
